COPE Facilitator Training

COPE Facilitator Training

COPE Training is a process that starts with a weekend at the Roy & Frances Rea COPE Center at Camp Trevor Rees-Jones.

Training will be provided on COPE Purpose, Standards and methods, and both low course and high course elements. The program includes actual participation in the elements as well as a hands-on training experience (have fun like your Scouts for a couple of days).

Intro to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS)

Intro to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS)

Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain First Class rank. Along with Leader Specific Training, this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Teams, in order to be considered "basic trained". This course will start Friday early evening and will finish up Saturday evening. You do not have to be in Eagle Trail District to attend.
